Though all eight processors computed the results for their regions in each of the following grid sizes, subsequent pictures do not show the boundaries between processors, but merely show the color corresponding to the computed temperature at each point of the region. The eight rectangles are numbered in a gray-code mapping where adjacent rectangles differ by one bit in their binary representations so that a single-hop communcation path is assured in a hypercube topology multicomputer.
