Hi folks,

Just a quick note to let you all know how February fund-raising went.
It was our best month yet and though we didn't reach the goal of $1100,
we really did very well when you consider we didn't get started until
the month was half over and we had the twin system crashes toward the
end of the month.  A big thanks to EVERYBODY for your contributions,
patience and *participation*.

I'm convinced that we can reach the goal of a sustainable EFN,
especially after meeting some of you at the potluck.  You're a
dedicated and enthused bunch of people!  Still, we probably need to
triple the number of users we have (and, yes, the phone lines too :-)
to get to the point where EFN is self-funding.  To do that, your help
is essential.  Please:

    * Invite your friends to become EFN users,

    * Show them how to login and use the e-mail and News.

    * Tell them about the world that we're going to plug into with
      the Internet.

    * Help them get their PC/Modem/software acts together and hold
      their hands for a couple of online sessions.

Clif and the EFN staff are too few to teach a thousand people how to
use EFN.  But a hundred of you each teaching two or three people and
each of them teaching two or three will get us there.

March fund-raising got off to a great start at 3:51 this morning
(Thanks, Dale!) and we're up to $15 pledged so far.  The address for
